Flamenko-õhtu: Joonas Widenius (FIN)

  • Philly Joe's jazz club 10 Vabaduse väljak Tallinn, Harju maakond, 10146 Estonia (map)

Joonas Widenius on Soome tippflamenkokitarrist. Joonas Wideniusel on tõesti hispaania süda!“

Joonas Widenius is a Finnish top flamenco guitarist. Widenius is based on the melodies of the flamenco guitar, but his distinctive melodic language is constantly influenced by his surroundings. On the Night of the Flamenco guitar, he will perform traditional Spanish flamenco tunes and, in addition to these, his own flamenco guitar works. The listener travels to the heat of Andalusia on a journey with a virtuoso guitar. Widenius ’expertise also amazed the tour manager of flamenco guitar virtuoso Paco de Lucia, who was enthusiastic about writing about him in the words: I am very surprised to hear such an Authentic Flamenco feeling from the north of Europe. Joonas Widenius really has a Spanish heart!

As a solo guitarist, he has performed extensively, either as a soloist, as a duo with a singer or with his trio, at various festivals, clubs and concert halls (including Finland, Sweden, Germany, Denmark, Spain, Russia). Widenius has performed and worked with numerous top artists, including UMO Jazz Orchestra, Perico Sambeat, Colin Bass (Camel band), Mike Stern, Daniel Diro, Iiro Rantala, Teemu Viinikainen, Steinar Aadnekvam, David Dominguez, Alba Carmona, Meri-Lapland String Quartet, Petri Kumela, Niko Kumpuvaara, Karo Sampela, Alpo Aaltokoski , Raul Mannola, Raoul Björkenheim, Kirsi Poutanen, Katja Lundén, Pirjo Yli-Maunula, Kaari Martin, Roni Martin, and many others.
