Swinging at Philly Joe’s pakub kogunemispaika swingirütmi armastajatele, tantsijatele ja muusikutele! See õhtu on mõeldud kõigile, kelle vinüüliriiulist leiab rariteete või kes on pikalt otsinud uutmoodi elevust oma nädalavahetusse, sest Philly Joe’s saal muutub palavaks tantsuplatsiks! Ka eemalt nautlejatele oleme mõelnud, jättes saali mõnusad diivanid ja boksid, kust meeleolukat õhtut kogeda.
Tantsuõhtu avab Jaan Krivel Swing Project. Jaan Krivel on muusik, kelle südame võitis swing juba väikese poisina. See muusika, oma lugude ja võrratute meloodiatega on saatnud teda läbi elu. Jaan Krivel Swing Project esitab soliidselt ja ajastutruult kuldse swingiajastu muusikat. Repertuaari on valitud ennekõige swingi standardid ja lemmiklaulud, mis kellelegi võõrad ei ole ja lubavad tantsupõrandal olles mõnusalt kaasa tantsida.

Lindy Hop on segu mitmest selle ajastu tantsustiilist nagu jazz, stepp ja Charleston. Kiiresti populaarsust kogunud tantsustiil vallutas kogu Ameerika ning levis peagi üle terve maailma. Uus tantsustiil sai oma nime esimesest peatuseta lennureisist New Yorgist Pariisi, mille sooritas Charles Lindberg hüüdnimega Lucky Lindy.

Jaan Krivel is a musician who was captivated by swing music from a young age. This genre, with its lively songs and rich melodies, has been a constant companion throughout his life. His new band's repertoire mainly comprises swing standards and favorites that are widely recognized and perfect for singing and dancing along to!

Lindy Hop is a swing dance that originated in the heyday of the swing era, in the Harlem district of New York in the 1930s. Lindy Hop is a mixture of several dance styles of that era, such as jazz, tap and Charleston. The dance style, which quickly gained popularity, conquered all of America and soon spread all over the world. The new dance style got its name from the first non-stop flight from New York to Paris, which was performed by Charles Lindbergh, nicknamed Lucky Lindy.
