KOOB, tuntud ka kui Valgevene Souliprintsess, kolis pandeemia-ajal Berliini, et õppida jazzmuusikat. Nüüd, kaks ja pool aastat hiljem, käes mitme jazzikonkursi auhinnad (Sparda Jazziauhind, Jazzfrühlingi konkurss, Carinthischer Sommeri konkurss), saabub ta Tallinnasse koos parimate noorte Berliini jazziskene muusikutega. Bänd vaheldub jazzi, avangardi ja souli vahel, segades seda kokku kompotiks, mis korraga häirib, hellitab ja paneb kuulaja imestama. Philly Joe's Jazziklubis esitleb KOOB oma kõige uuemat, kriitikute tunnustuse pälvinud albumit „That Tree“. Nagu ütleb lauljanna ise, on ta viimased kaks aastat teadmistepuu vilju limpsinud, kuid nüüd võttis ampsu.

KOOB, dubbed “the Belarusian Soul Princess” moved to Berlin to study jazz in the year of the pandemic. Now, 2,5 years later, with awards by multiple jazz competitions in hands (Sparda Jazz award, Jazzfrühling Wettbewerb, Carinthischer Sommer Competition), she is coming to Tallinn supported by the finest musicians from Berlin’s young jazz scene. The band alternates between jazz, avant garde and soul, blending it into a mix that disturbs, caresses and takes the listener aback at the same time. At Philly Joe's, KOOB is going to present her most recent highly critically acclaimed (Jazz Thing, Auftakt) album “That Tree”. In her own words: “I have been licking the fruit of knowledge for 2 years. Now I took a bite”.
KOOB appeared on the public radar in her homeland Belarus, as the frontwoman of the first ever Belarusian soul band “Dee Tree”. Two years later, dubbed "the Belarusian soul princess", KOOB entered her solo-path with a remarkable debut single „Jungle“. In 2020 her musical and personal life reached a turning point: the biggest political crisis so far broke out in Belarus, which caused her to move to Berlin. Right now she is studying Jazz Singing at the Jazz Institute of Berlin. She appeared on Deutsche Welle, magz.fm, Euroradio and other TV and radio channels.
Lenny Rehm is a German jazz drummer. Growing up in a small Bavarian town, he already gained experience in his youth through the interaction with Joo Kraus and Hubert Nuss and in the Bavarian State Youth Jazz Orchestra. In 2020 he moved to Berlin to study at the Berlin Jazz Institute. Since then he has been active in the Berlin jazz scene, including collaborations with Andreas Schmidt, Jan Roder, Jonas Westergaard, Thomas Heberer, Olaf Casimir, Christian von der Goltz and Martin Klingeberg. He is involved in several albums and radio productions and is active with his projects at home and abroad.
Seth Sjöström is a bass player and composer from northern Sweden who is currently studying at the Jazz Institute Berlin. With a foundation in jazz, free improvisation and Swedish folk music, he is constantly looking for new ways to express himself and to communicate with others through art. He is very inspired by the rough but honest nature of northern Sweden and is driven by the will to use music as a tool to build a real connection to yourself, other people and the world around it.
Oto Gvardjančič is a Slovenian pianist, currently based in Berlin, Germany. His music education started with the classical piano in his early childhood. His love for music led him after his classical education to the world of jazz, pop and funk music. He studied jazz piano at the Conservatory for Music and Ballet in Ljubljana, Slovenia. He continued his studies at the University of The Arts in Berlin, Germany. He has already gathered numerous experiences in various music genres and types of bands across Europe and the USA, including solo-piano, small and medium-sized jazz bands, big bands and funk bands, as well as in a classical symphony orchestra.
